E M P T Y H O U S E S.

Well, this is a photo shoot me and my friend rob decided to do about two weeks ago in an empty house in yeovil. to start with we wrote a whole concept to try and get the feeling for the shoot, somewhere to start. it was all about how to interact with a new space and how the space interacts with you. this, of course, is a load of bullshit so in the end i just decided to do loads of experiments with flash and stuff.
Rob was a great model and im proud to put these on my blog.

F A B R I C M A N I P U L A T I O N.

EYELETS.

Today i got inducted on the eyelet machine, this means i can work with an older idea of combining eyelets and ribbon to create a seam the wearer have control, tie it up where they want, undo it at a moments notice or take it appart easily to further manipulate the individual segment of the garment.

eyelets are really cheap but take a bit of time, i plan to grid large peices of fabris that i have manipulated of printed onto or infact made myself and then spend time shaping it around an object of model, tying the ribbon or whatever to hold it in place. i think i should look at old japanese armour and shamanic tribal ( temporary ) costumes. prehaps continue to research japanese textile artists as they seem to have the most interesting and inivatinve work.
